The ISO has adopted various standards, which enables a safe output, distribution, reuse, and archiving of PDF documents. The normal PDF standard offers an enormous range of functions, which may well be in conflict with the requirements of specific applications. Therefore, there are strict rules as a PDF need for archiving (PDF / A), for the transformation pressure (PDF / VT), for barrier-free access (PDF / UA) or print (PDF / X) look.
